Our Favourite Organizing Products

There are a lot of products out in the retail world that can help get you and keep you organized and we at ClutterBGone use several of them on site with our clients. You may have seen me use, or have heard me talk about clear containers, shoe racks and kitchen risers, but here are a few other organizing tools that are absolutely great for what they are designed for.

Power charging stations

Charging station

I think the majority of us have cell phones and tablets now and even the children in your house may have them as well. How many cords and chargers do you have around the house dangling from the wall plugs?

A power charging station is the perfect organizing solution for cluttered counter tops and other horizontal surfaces in your home.

Charging stations can be as simple or as fancy as your taste and your wallet, and they can handle a quantity of phones.  If you are tired of seeing phones charging and attached to what seems to be every wall plug in the house, get one of these and keep your flat surfaces neat and clutter free.

Organize your storage containers

Even I can’t seem to keep our storage containers organized all the time. We have an inventory of some items and we try to keep the lids and containers for various sizes stacked separately but sometimes end up with more of one than the other. I don’t know how that happens! If we keep the lids on the containers we waste valuable real estate and just don’t have enough room.

Now you can get storage containers with lids attached all in a handy rack. Everything stays neatly together and no more looking for those lost lids.

Expandable flatware trays

I have one of these in our home and it fits into any flatware drawer by simply expanding the sides. There is plenty of room for the basic flatware pieces as well as additional room for the smaller utensils that sometimes get tossed into a miscellaneous drawer. Now finding these items is easier than ever.

Toy trolleys

I love these containers on wheels for kids. It makes clean up time so much easier when you can roll the trolley around the room and place the toys in inside.

The kids will want to help by making a game of it and when the toys are picked up it easily rolls into a corner or closet.

Tower storage units for the garden tools

When we organize garages we usually find garden tools and the like attached to a wall in some ramshackle fashion or, more often than not, leaning against the wall in a corner all tangled up with one another.  In either instance many of them are ready to fall down and quite possibly cause some harm to someone.

Rubbermaid has a cart on wheels that holds shovels, rakes, brooms, etc all in one place without the worry of having any of them fall down. You can roll the cart out when the tools are required.

So there you have it.  A few other ideas for getting organized around your home. Some of these items are pretty new and others have been around for a while.

Whenever you decide to get organized on your own, remember there are a lot of choices out there to contain and corral what you have.
